Pound to euro exchange rate: GBP ‘drifts higher’ against EUR despite Irish border question

Pound sterling has recovered some ground against the euro currency.  The GBP currency now converts to €1.1198, according to figures at 7:20am this morning.  It is up from a conversion rate of €1.1169 to the pound, accurate at this time yesterday. IRISH jockey Emily Finnegan has achieved a career highlight by being crowned the 2017 Dux of the South Australian Apprentice Academy. Hurricane Ophelia: Flights at Irish airports axed – travellers may be delayed by a WEEK

Hurricane Ophelia, which is hours away from hitting Ireland, has caused an airline to cancel its flights to and from Dublin airport – and a number of flights from Cork Airport have been cancelled. Cork Airport have cancelled flights to Manchester, Bristol, Glasgow and Southampton, among others.
