As anyone who’s seen the excellent 2009 documentary The Devil and Ginger Baker knows, the wildman Cream drummer isn’t the easiest person to get along with. He’s moody, easy to anger, extremely opinionated and prone to sudden flashes of violence. It’s therefore not very surprising that his son Kofi doesn’t hold a very high opinion of the man, even though he’s a drummer who’s spent much of his career trying to emulate his father’s unique playing style.
