The Thomas Cook strike has been announced by the British Airline Pilots’ Association (Balpa) earlier this week.
The strike is disputing the 1.5 per cent pay increase that they have been offered, which Balpa states is unacceptable and actually amounts to a pay cut.
With inflation running at 2.9 per cent, the rise the pilots are requesting is to go alongside the current rate.
Up to 44 flights are set to be affected, with London Stansted, Glasgow, Newcastle and Manchester Airports being affected.
